How To Get Here
There is a separate entrance for the Dog Park, marked by a sign. The actual entrance to the main park is the first drive on the right after you turn onto Long Sands Rd. This is the main entrance for all of the activities including the trails, disc golf, story walk, pickleball, tennis, playground, and ball fields.
There is a kiosk near the pavilion that will showcase the maps for the park. It might be helpful to take a photo of the map before you begin your activities.
The park has an all-persons trail called Deer Run that is .25 mile long. If you are interested in only doing this trail, and or if you are mobility challenged, it is better to park in the lower parking area. There are several handicap parking spaces in this lot where the trailhead to Deer Run begins. To get there, continue on Long Sands Rd., go past the main entrance and turn right onto Conservation Way. You will see signs leading to the lot, kiosk and picnic tables.
If you are only interested in a short walk and taking in the view of Ossipee Lake at our viewing platform, and are mobility challenged, you can be dropped off further down Long Sands Rd. Turn right at the T and continue on the dirt road until the end. There is NO Parking here. Exit your vehicle and the driver can then go back to the lower lot to park.
