The Park

Welcome

Constitution Park (The Park) offers numerous age-friendly recreational and educational opportunities, including a dog park, walking nature trails, a disc golf course, a playground, ball fields, tennis and pickleball courts, and a picnic pavilion.

A Place to Gather

Friends of Constitution Park (FCPO) has become a true hub for both the local community and visitors alike. Through strong relationships with local businesses and individuals, FCPO has secured more than $250,000 in monetary and in-kind donations, helping to fuel the park’s growth and vibrancy.

With more than 4,500 volunteer hours dedicated to maintaining and enhancing the park, we’ve created a welcoming space that has already drawn over 4,000 visitors — a testament to the community spirit and shared commitment that makes Constitution Park a special destination for all.

Dog Park

The Dog Park is a welcoming off-leash space designed to promote the health and happiness of dogs and their human companions. Located just off Rt. 25 past Long Sand Rd., the park offers a secure area for dogs to exercise and socialize, enhancing the well-being of both pets and their owners. Visitors can enjoy a picnic table, though there is no shade, and the park accommodates 8-10 dogs at a time.

Community members regularly volunteer to maintain the park, spreading wood chips in the spring to ensure cleanliness. Please follow park rules, practice good dog park etiquette, and always clean up after your pet. Come enjoy the outdoors and connect with fellow dog lovers!

Disc Golf

Constitution Park disc golf is the only free-to-play 9- to 18-hole course in Ossipee, NH. The course has a mixture of wooded and open holes with benches at most tee boxes and trash cans on holes 6, 8 and 9. Other than hole 1 which throws towards the soccer field, the course flows in a clockwise direction. There are arrows at the bottom of each basket pointing to the next tee pad. The long axis of the tee pad aligns with the fairway in the general direction of the basket. An alternate course has been established utilizing the original 9 baskets allowing for a more technical 9 holes to be played or a full 18 holes.

To access the course map, download the UDisc app in your app store. Then search by location or for Constitution Park, Ossipee, NH. Record your score and see how you fair with others. Come check out our disc golf course. You will not be disappointed.

Pickleball

Constitution Park offers two pickleball courts conveniently marked within the tennis courts. Players can organize games using the free website, Playtime Scheduler. Simply search for “Playtime Scheduler,” create a free account, select the “Lakes Region,” and find Constitution Park (Ossipee). You can set game times, skill levels, and player limits, sending invites to other registered players.

This platform is not a court reservation system or app, so please be courteous and inclusive. For games with 8 players, doubles matches are played to 9 points instead of 11 to ensure everyone gets a turn. Hope to see you on the courts!

StoryWalk

The Story Walk on the Green Mountain Trail is created quarterly by students in Ossipee Central School’s School’s Out! Program. Serving about 200 students from 1st to 6th grade, the program provides daily after-school activities, including homework clubs led by certified teachers and over 20 enrichment options each trimester. Its mission is to offer a safe, enriching environment that fosters academic and social growth through community partnerships.

As part of the StoryWalk™ Project, originally developed by Anne Ferguson of Montpelier, VT, students select a storybook, discuss it, and create signs. These signs are placed along the Green Mountain Trail for families to enjoy while exploring the park.

Wind Phone

The wind phone is located on the Beaver Trail, not far from the picnic/rest area and nature interpretive signs. We chose this location for its beauty and privacy. The Beaver Trail is a quiet trail that meanders along the beaver pond.

The wind phone is installed on a maple tree among several trees huddled together. The trees provide shade in the summer months. Our hope is that the beauty surrounding this wind phone will bring comfort to all who wish to experience it.
